"Peace Dove" acrylic on canvas 2005

This painting is based on Picasso's 'Peace Dove' sketch. Aways loved that symbol and wanted to embellish it more than just his line drawing. I liked the way it turned out.

"My Parent's Wedding" graphic marker an layout paper 2004

This is a caricature of my parents wedding photo...I did this on their 25th anniversary for their card...I don't think my dad likes this drawing too much, probably because it is pretty accurate (sorry Dad.) Anyway, my folks just celebrated their 31st anniversary, so maybe the brown bell-bottoms are good luck!!

"Homer J." acrylic on canvas 2003

This painting I did for my little brother on his birthday..the Simpsons used to be his life and at the time I gave this to him the painting was taller than he was. It is 18 inches by 5 feet tall. and is cropped just as it is seen here. It's neat to see a cartoon on canvas.

"Kona Cafe Mural" acrylic on wall 2003

These are images of a mural I did at the now closed Kona Cafe in Mukwonago. There were four panels each at 4' by 8'. They were side by side and appeared as if it were a window looking out at a Hawaiian fishing scene. This was a very enjoyable mural to do...I did it in the overnight hours all alone and played music loud...my favorite way to paint. I have only good memories of doing this mural. I had a nice write up in the food section of the Milwaukee Journal when they reviewed the restaurant. It was fun to get to work that morning open up the paper and see my artwork... it was a surprise to me...it's just too bad they got rid of this place...oh well I have the photos and the memories.
