"...Bathtime, Oh So Fun" acrylic on canvas 2009

We have this little guy in out bathroom and I looked down at him, I thought that it would be a good subject to paint, it had very interesting shapes and colors and it is something that is so easily recognizable by everybody, but not as art. It is a very cute little painting.

"Song for the Angels" acrylic on canvas 2009

I was inspired by a song by The Great Lake Swimmers, "Song For The Angels". It's a beautiful, beautiful song.
"...never saw you, never heard you...but I knew that you were there, you're everywhere, I could feel you all around me..."

"Hoo-Ray Beer" acrylic on canvas 2009

I was in Jamaica last year for my brother's wedding...and I think I was drinking Red Stripe by the gallon. I like seeing this bottle, it reminds me of the great time I had on the trip. That's the life.

"Kaiah 9 mo.'s" acrylic on canvas 2009

This painting I was going for a sort of "pop art" style. It definitely looks like our Kaiah, a pretty neat look if you ask me. I used a photo I took of her a few days ago for this image. The size of this piece is 18" by 24".

"Stampede" acrylic on canvas 2002

I did this as a wedding present for my aunt and uncle. One of my favorite that I have done, there is so much action in this still painting that it envokes that the horses are running right at you. I don't own this one but I still enjoy the few times a year I get to their house so I can take a look at it...this one makes me proud.

"MIAD Corner" pen and ink 2003

This is another step by step of how cross hatching works...the nice thing about cross hatching you can cover up your mistakes...and I always say the best artists are those who are good at disguising their mistakes.

"Justice" acrylic on illustration board 2003

I saw this image in a catalog and had to recreate it to put up at work...there were a few ding-bats
who couldn't understand what was going on...i doubt seeing this helped but it made me feel better.

"Parapluie-Revel" acrylic and latex on canvas 2006

This is obviously my version of the famous French Pararpluie-Revel poster, more commonly seen in a yellow background. I was commissioned to do it with a custom green background, to match the decor. This is a big one 3' by 5 ', it was fun to paint and I think it looks as well with the green background as the yellow. What a great composition...it is no wonder why this still looks great more than a hundred years later.

"3 Horses" acrylic on canvas 2009

You can't go wrong using horses as a subject matter...such a naturally beautiful animal...and they offer so much freedom when rendering them. I don't think I could get sick of painting them.

"Blues" acrylic on canvas 2009

This started off a bit of a sketch to use up some paint on my pallet...didn't mean for it to look like Cher so much...what are you gonna do?

"Midway Eat" acrylic on canvas 2009

This is a small diner I was at in Random Lake, WI. I have always been interested in old signs...and the more I look the more I see they are disappearing fast but I was able to take a photo of this one...which was the inspiration for this painting.

"Dylan" step by step 2007

This painting is down the list if you want to see the large image. This is one of the few times I actually took photos while I was painting the piece. I don't do that too often but it does give a good insight to see how I paint. I thought it would be iteresting to see this.
